Our area/city is at 13,500 plus change.....98.8% are supposedly citizens.....racial/ethnic groups are White (87.0%) followed by Two or More (5.8%) and Hispanic (3.7%).
We are at 2,000 people, 99% white. More people under 45 than over. Median household income is $52,000. 8% under the poverty level. There is a manufacturing plant in town that is going like gangbusters. Just full tilt.
The amazing thing is the number of people who grew up here and move back. They couldn’t wait to get away but they came back when they retired. There is a crew flipping houses all over town. I paid the most ever paid for a house in this town. 7800 sq ft on 12 acres for $320k. Crazy compared to the 3500 sq ft house on 2 acres that I sold that is now worth $520k which I didn’t get near that.
