One expects a country's top leaders to be strategic and long-term in their decisions, to know the minds of others, and to be able to calculate consequences.
The decision to blow-up the Nord Stream pipeline is none of those things. It was short-term, close-minded and extremely arrogant. Did anyone in DC consider how this will have very grave long-term consequences to the USA's reputation, particularly in Germany?
