Catching one man guilty of a well-publicized "hate crime" assault is a nice PR coup, but isn't going to put a dent in NYC crime.
Well, let Hikind have his fantasy. This is the only “victory” he can hope for for the foreseeable future. The people who elected Giuliani are either gone or hunkered down on Staten Island or one of the better neighborhoods in Queens, but with insufficient numbers to elect a new Giuliani. The rest of The City is a hell hole, more or less. And I loved New York City when I lived there. It’ll have to bottom out.
