The increase is not fair for working-class families.

Implication being that it is "fair" for other people

I live in California and the folks I know with solar say it actually does greatly reduce their utility bills. I can't say I'm opposed to people breaking free from a government monopoly to pursue self-sufficiency.

It would be interesting to see a real financial analysis on the cost of "going solar" with the capital costs, amortization schedule, life of installation, actual power produced, etc.

An artificial scarcity created by Democrats. We have enough natural gas to last hundreds of years.

Like the one idiot who said he would have done things differently if they had told him gas was going to go up. Do these people in California live in a giant bubble or something?

The stupid is so strong in those people

But reality didn’t sink in for many customers until their bills started arriving later in the month.

Snap back to reality
Oh, there goes gravity

that California imports about 90% of its natural gas, is NOT the problem...

This is intentional. It’s throughout the country. It’s how the left tries to force us off “fossil” fuels without any legislation.

Who’d you vote for Brent?

You asked that question like you think it really mattered who people voted for in Kali. Once you have perfected the steal you can't be voted out.

Ya get what ya vote for!

Not really, you get what you are willing to accept, right up until you can no longer resist.

There are huge oil and gas deposits off the coast of Santa Barbara. A friend of my dad’s was a drilling engineer with Exxon. The drilled several offshore wells in the mid/late 1970’s. Some time in the early 80’s the state ordered them shut down and capped off.

Likewise upstairs.

Mine got as high as $700 last year (GA). I was not on the fixed-rate plan. I am on it now, and the highest this year has been $340. It just took a phone call.

You're usually still paying the same amount for the gas. It just averages over the year or so. So come summer when you use little/no gas, you'll still have a $340 gas bill.

That is partially correct. The cost/therm is averaged, but I don’t use it for heat in the summer. Just cooking and hot water. For me gas is up in winter, down in summer, reverse that for electricity. I actually have saved money on this plan.
