Hundreds of Serbian nationalists rallied in Belgrade on Wednesday, demanding that President Aleksandar Vucic rejects a Western plan to normalize ties with breakaway Kosovo and pulls out of negotiations.
Shouting “Treason” and carrying banners reading “No surrender,” the right-wing protesters blocked traffic as they gathered near the Serbian presidency building in central Belgrade. The protesters are also strongly pro-Russian, and one banner read: “Betrayal of Kosovo is betrayal of Russia!”
The protest comes amid efforts by U.S. and European Union officials to mediate a solution for the long-standing dispute between Serbia and Kosovo, a former Serbian province whose 2008 declaration of independence Belgrade does not recognize.

For the record: I think Serbia got screwed by the UN in 1999 when the UN created autonomy for Kosovo, as it was nothing but a prelude to independence.

At least there was a legal argument for doing so, as Kosovo was already an autonomous province under the Serbian constitutions of 1971 and 1974. Kosovo’s autonomy was abolished by Milosević in 1989, which sparked more protests and violence that culminated in the Kosovo War of 1998-1999 and the eventual declaration of independence by Kosovo in 2008. The UN merely restored Kosovo’s autonomy, as was previously established in the Serbian constitution.
The only thing lower than a Russian is a militant Muslim, on any moral scale you can name, so I guess I’ll have to root for the Serbians. At least they’re Christian.

When referring to the right in this country ABC usually uses the pronoun “far” first.
So does NBC, CBS, CNN, Twitter, FB…msm in other words.
It could easily be that when present ops are finished, Russia wi9ll be left with large numbers of T72s and similar still-useful but not modern equipment. They might want to donate some or all of that to Serbia.
Plus lots of lessons learned during the war against NAFO.

In Europe, the Political Right has militantly opposed Russia since the Russian Revolution in 1917!
Kosovo’s history was not Muslim.
Serbs know about the past.
Serbs were good allies in WWI and got the shaft in WWII.
US chose the wrong side in Slick Willie’s wag the dog.
