Twice the world has been plunged into bloody conflict because of European inter-tribal squabbles.

Do we really want to risk a third time over a couple of break-away provinces in Ukraine?

Well we’ve given enough for their defense. But it didn’t have to be this way.

Ukraine was neutral and wanted to join the EU as part of a trading alliance.

Then Odinga had to stage a coup against the wishes of the EU.

A truthful assessment of Obama presidency would have to be negative. Color revolutions, terrorist groups flourishing, nothing good for us or other countries.

European tribal wars have become both terrible and globe-spanning because technology and economics has permitted such an escalation of the means and capacity of war.

In the old days one could have a huge war of multiple coalitions, like the war of the Spanish succession, the Seven Years War, and the Napoleonic wars, etc. Each was more “global” than the last.

And so here we are. The post WW2 rule was to prevent wars by guarantees of security and sovereignty.
