Sad. And if you went up to each of them and forced them to face the realities of their ideology they blame you, me and Pres Trump
The article states it. Do as we say or were not giving you any money.
Which is a completely different topic. Way too many places are way too dependent on Uncle Sam.
An affluent neighborhood will be able to pay their own bills.
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the grants handed out by DHS for local police departments. Departments hire folks that specialize in grant righting to justify getting $300-400k for an armored vehicle.
No reason the Fed’s should be paying that bill. Bring the issue to the folks in that town/city/county, let them approve it and let them pay for it. I bet the price drops quite a bit once Uncle Sugar is takenmiutnof the process.
Part of socialism ... drag everyone down to the lowest level to achieve equity ... except for the elite privileged.
Neither do many Republicans. Especially ones on the local levels where it hurts the most. They’re the ones you go to church with or talk to at the barbershop.
They’re throwing their neighbors under every bus coming down the road with a smile and begging to be re-elected.
except for the elite privileged.…
If folks haven’t figured it out yet, we’re living in through the stages that lead up to The Hunger Games.
Will there be contests of folks killing each other? Probably not.
Will there be out of control violence when things start getting real bad? Probably YEAH.
I’ve posted about it before. Look up…When The Music Stops by Matt Bracken. We aren’t too far from his take on things.
Anyone who’s against destroying suburbs is a racist!/s
That’s where their support is, the suburban Karens.
Get ready to be Cabrini Greened.
It’s going to be a combination of Cabrini Green and the Tower of Babble all in one cozy little place.
No. They won’t make the connection. For Biden voters, “obtuse” is a charitable description.
true , but they wouldn't face the reality of it. I worked with these people for almost three years, and they had bone deep convictions that 1. guns are bad. 2. government is good. 3. if you live in NYC you are superior to everyone else on the planet. 4. Anyone who lives west of the Hudson is retarded and unable to comprehend the enlightenment that is automatically bestowed on New Yorkers by virtue of living in "The City"
Once everybody lives in a tranquil, tree-lined suburb...
there will be no tranquil, tree-lined suburbs left to live in.
Liberalism is a mental illness characterized by nihilism.
My parents bought a house in 1965, on 1/4 acre zoned for single family. Each house borders on a alley of dirt, for sewer lines, power linees, water etc. They now rezoned existing neighborhoods, and are putting apartments and mother in law units in the neighborhood. It totally destroys the concept of neighborhood, or peace a safety in the burbs. Growing up, all of the neighbors owned their house. All the kids played together without transient families. It was a dream existence. Now they want to ruin it over the entire country.
So true on every point.
Exactly.
There are some of them that will revel in it as long as they are the community organizer and while some power.
The others will be living in their exclusive communities surrounded by armed, private security.
That’s the world they want. They want Panem. They want mini-Panems all over the country with DC being the most exclusive of them.
And until we’re shown something different, republicans as are going right along with it.
Poor people in dysfunctional Democrat cities are not the same as poor people in suburban and rural areas. Liberals are completely blind to that.
Appalachia, for example, if poor as can be (in America) but it has little violent crime.
Many of the "amenities" that the urban poor "enjoy" would be difficult to obtain in suburban and rural areas.
Maywood is all WETBACKS now, and all the gangs came with them.
Maywood is about 97% wetback now!
We're both right.
You are describing the NY-2 district, which used to be the eastern half of Long Island's south shore. After the 2010 redistricting moved the district to the central south shore, Peter King did represent that district until retirement.
Prior to the 2010 redistricting, NY-3 covered that area and King represented that district. After the 2010 redistricting, NY-3 moved to the north shore of Nassau County. This is the seat that Santos won.
