“I refused to have my TV showing a racist song that fosters the idea that one group of people is responsible for another group’s massive failures.”
What makes you think that a Christian hymn is a racist song?
What makes anyone think this is OUR national anthem? Oh wait.. its not ..or, else why is it the national anthem of a distinct segment of the population?
Given the context in which the “hymn” was played, and the outright fact that it is presented by the NFL completely out of a Christian context and in a woke/racial grievance context is enough to make congnizant people pay attention and take issue with it.
If you haven’t watched the NFL for the past six or seven years and noticed the disprespectful kneeling during the National Anthem (sanctioned and encouraged by the NFL) and the hundreds of millions ($250 million pledged last I looked) to Black Lives Matter and other racist causes, you might not be aware it is an issue at all.
So, the song may have had its roots in Christianity as a hymn, but that is not in any way, shape, or form the context this song is known for today. Nothing personal here, but to say otherwise means you don’t understand the issue.
Thanks for the correction. I see it’s not a racist song at all. Damn the left for corrupting something beautiful!
It is INTENDED to divide, not unite. If we cannot stand at the same song, salute the same flag, love the same sets of standards, we are not united. We are UNtied.
There is ONLY one National Anthem.........PERIOD
This song causes division........PERIOD
