U.S. F-22 shoots down “high altitude airborne object” over northern Canada,
Michael Chong 🇨🇦
@MichaelChongMP
So it’s just confirmed that this “object” over Canadian airspace was taken out by a U.S. F-22 jet.
We do not have the capacity to defend ourselves and our sovereignty.
Hard questions need to be asked about the state of the Canadian armed forces.

I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.

Is Canada footing the bill for the fuel for the F22 and I’m assuming another $500k Sidewinder missile? Is no-one questioning this Kirby idiot why are we using such an expensive weapon to take down an object that can be taken down with literally a slingshot?
And unmanned.
This kind of event happens all the time. I question why is the US making this public all of a sudden?
China is mocking us. They can do this all day and basically bankrupt us
Don’t forget Molson-Coors.
Good one!;-)
It’s going to be a bad year to fly a lawnchair.
RE: China mocking us and bankrupting our defenses....
Yes and not one of the 1.41 billion of the waiting enemy fell to do it.*
*Around 300,000 Chinese aliens in the US now as college or university students and other Chinese non-citizens working at tech companies and social media.
I do apologize for that. From 1993-2000 I was drunk on Molson Ice.
Probably why I forgot to add that...
Canada’s piston powered airforce can’t fly that high.
“If it was over Canada why did WE shoot it down?”
NORAD. Both countries respond.
Totally off topic but has anybody noticed that the BIG STORY from a few weeks ago from China was the massive COVID case rate? Something like 900 million cases SUDDENLY AND COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED?
Now all we hear about are Chink Balloons. Something stinks and no it’s not Joey’s diaper.

Canada and the US share the coverage both with radar and chase support for the north American Continent. We’re all tied together with scopes.
What used to be totally called NORAD is now NWADs at JBLM Tacoma, WA. NORAD has administratively divided the North American landmass into three regions:
Alaska NORAD (ANR) Region – Eleventh Air Force (11 AF)
Canadian NORAD (CANR) Region – 1 Canadian Air Division (1 Cdn Air Div)
Continental U.S. (CONR) Region – First Air Force (1 AF/CONR-AFNORTH)
Both the CONR and CANR regions are divided into eastern and western sectors. So we actually support each other over each of our lands. And every time someone or thing enters airspace we flip a coin. We have chase support on both sides of them...Alaska and northern tier in the lower 48.

Yea something stinks. They won't even describe what it looked like much less show us the video.
And Don Cherry
Good catch.
Like the Hunter and Dad documents scandal, the Chicoms have a way of diverting media attention.
“BOTH slow moving unarmed BALLOONS.”
Maybe not. The second one was described as an object. And a lot of things are slow moving compared to an F-22 on afterburner and mach 2.5.

I think we can count on one hand how many of the Chinese govt. we punished for Covid-19….
A mass of balloons--some armed with, say, poison--would panic the country and overload our defenses and communication systems.
And in the meantime, China could claim they're weather balloons and Joe would dither while waiting for them to reach the open sea before being dispatched.;-)
BTW, China has used balloons successfully in military operations (signaling) before...since the Three Kingdoms era (220-280 AD).
