A man died after a shooting in Phoenix on Saturday evening, authorities said.
Officers responded to the area of 12th Street and Highland Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. to calls of a shooting, the Phoenix Police Department said in a press release.
A man with a gunshot wound, later identified as 24-year-old Aaron Duwan Frazier Jr., was found and transported to a local medical facility.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital, authorities said.
According to police, an adult male was fueling his vehicle at a gas station in the area. Frazier approached the man with a gun and attempted to rob him. The man went back to his vehicle, grabbed a gun and shot Frazier.
The man called police to report the incident. Authorities conducted interviews and collected evidence at the scene. The man was not booked into jail.
The case will be reviewed further for any possible charges.
Taxpayers served well on this outcome. Thank you good sir!
"Down goes Frazier!"
That is not a horrible area, though Indian School is not far away, and that isn’t great. Also, it looks like he picked the Sinclair gas station, those tend to be more run down than QT (on average), and less traffic than Circle K.
Good. He shouldn’t have been.
A failed, fake headline.
Should read,
“Victim Shoots, Kills Armed Robber”
It is not yet “Saturday Evening” in Phoenix.
I nominate you as the new Ktar News article title editor.
LOL. I wish there was an effective way to shame these news orgs.
The original headline was antithetical to journalistic standards, to state nothing of its 5 Principles.
