The potential problem appears to be how long the pipeline will be shut down, along with panic buying. Affecting unleaded and diesel. Jet fuel not affected.
NV feeling the squeeze.....with its water, and, now, fuel supply.
I started reading that the emergency was for 205 gallons but the emergency is prompted by the response of shutting down the pipeline.
“205 gallons is a state of emergency???”
It seems a bit extreme, but they have to shut down that pipe to fix it. So, it isn’t the spilled fuel, but the shut down that’s causing the emergency.
I suppose declaring it a ‘state of emergency’ gives them powers to shut it down.
It’s not the 205 gallons, it’s the shut-down pipeline.
