We need judges with judgement.

We need to be able to sue judges, and politicians/office holders for everything they have. If a physician makes a mistake that costs a life, he/she is responsible and can be sued. If an electrician wires a house that then catches fire from an electrical issue and someone dies in the fire, the electrician is responsible.

If a judge makes a decision that leads to the death of an innocent member of the community, they just continue on as a judge. No consequences. If a politician pushes through legislation that puts criminals back on the streets (or stops them from being prosecuted), and someone dies as a consequence, the politician stays in office unless and until they are voted out. There are no other consequences.

This has to end. All of it.

I'd add if a department hires a cop who failed their required pre-employment psychiatric evaluation, everyone who signed off on the hire is personally responsible for that cop's subsequent actions.

According to Dr. Clarissa Cole, fully half the people she failed were hired anyway!

This case could cause people to sympathize a bit with Memphis police officers who wrongly decided to skip the judicial process altogether.
