Police are searching for a Texas mother who abandoned her 12-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son for two months last year.
An arrest warrant has been issued by the Roman Forest Police Department for mother Raven Yates, who is charged with two counts of abandoning/endangering a child without the intent to return, the department said.
Police said they received a phone call from the concerned father of the 12-year-old on Nov. 14 who reported that the two children had been home alone since Sept. 28.
During their weeks alone, the siblings allegedly had limited access to food or medicine.
The father, who lived and worked in California, immediately flew to Texas, police said. He told law enforcement that Yates had been spotted in Mobile, Alabama without the children by his former mother-in-law, police told ABC News. *** There was no food on the shelves or in the fridge — but the kids appeared healthy.
“I guess the 12-year-old was very resourceful. But she shouldn’t have had to do that,” Carlisle said.
The children were not registered in school, police said. ***

God gave her a vocation when He gave her these kids with her actions. She dropped the ball. She needs a psych evaluation. The father needs to take them and fo his best...get help from family or church family.
I feel your pain, frank. My mom was a manic depressive that took “legal” drugs prescribed by her psychiatrist for 22 years. She could go off into a rage at the drop of a hat and when she did...us kids hid. I was the last one left in the home due to my age for close to 6 years and it was hell.
My mother was a psychologically abusive narcissistic man hating alcoholic.

I have a highly skilled highly paid guy that works for me full time and he had/has a mother exactly like you describe only throw a little meth in there too.
Makes me and reminds me to thank god daily for the amazing Saint of a mom I had!
Did she have her race card with her for the blame game.
Kids having to raise themselves has been a regular thing throughout history.
My own Grandfather wound up alone in Peru at the age of 13 but it was the 1880’s and it was a different world then. He learned the languages and how to build things. Got rich then poor then rich again and raised 12 kids.
Happy for you.
God bless you.
Funny. They do take holier than thou attitudes. Between their own scandals.
Thanks for the support.
God bless you and yours.
Thanks. God bless you.
You, too, FRiend.
You too frank. And thanks.
My grandpa’s mother died when grandpa was 5, grandpa’s father remarried when grandpa was 6. Then grandpa’s father died when grandpa was 7. Grandpa’s stepmother remarried when grandpa was 8 years old. Together, grandpa’s two step parents raised and loved both him and his sister.
