Russian forces in Bakhmut have killed Ukrainian soldiers with axes before photographing their dismembered bodies and sharing the images, according to one military volunteer.

Seva Koshel, who has been delivering supplies to the frontline since the beginning of the war, this week returned to Bakhmut - the eastern Ukrainian city Russian forces have spent months trying to take.

Speaking in the latest episode of the Sky News Ukraine War Diaries podcast, Seva details graphic stories told to him by Ukrainian military personnel embedded there.

Warning: This story contains distressing details about dismembered bodies

"I have heard many stories directly from guys who are participating in this combat in Bakhmut and it was very difficult to listen [to]," he explains.

"I believe them. And from what I have heard, these guys from private companies, Wagner - this Russian private company - and from Russian army… when you are in close fighting, they find some wounded guys or guys who are without weapon.

Every war starts with the invader thinking it will be a ‘walk in the park’.

That’s not possible, the Russian soldiers are the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human beings I’ve ever known in my life.

I didn’t read that, but I saw some video of Ukrainians with an awful lot of what they themselves said were poison chemical gas bombs, drones operated via satellite to deliver them, and footage of the soldiers that had them dropped on them writhing in horrific deaths. Apparently this was the reason Elon Musk just cut off his satellite access to them, so it must have been believable.

Just so you know, we used chemical warfare as an excuse to make war on Syria. We used it as an excuse to destroy Iraq. Both were lies. This isn’t. The Western world is completely silent about his.

That is --- exactly what the Turkish and Syrian people being pulled from rubble, fed, treated for wounds, by Russian soldiers are saying!!

This is what those Russian soldiers you hate so much have been doing, and they were the first country to arrive btw. ◽️

The Russian Centre has deployed 6 humanitarian aid distribution posts in Aleppo, Hama, Jabla, Stamu, and Bustan al-Basha. ◽️

Personnel of the Russian Forces in the Syrian Arab Republic have formed 10 joint detachments, tasked to remove debris, search for victims, and provide them with medical aid in the mostly damaged areas. ◽️

Over 3000 personnel, and 60 military and special vehicles are involved in Turkey. ◽️

A mobile group of Russian military healthcare professionals, 4 blood donation posts, as well as a joint coordination headquarters have been established at Hmeimim Air Base to provide assistance to the Syrian side.

But hey!!!

How many of the great EU countries sent aid or personnel? How about America?

nothing. Nada. Not one ounce of aid to either Turkey or Syria.

in fact, Syria begged the US government to temporarily lift sanctions so aid could be flown in. Guess what we told them? No.

Algeria told u to get screwed and broke sanctions, taking aid in anyway.

🔹The Syrian Arab Red Crescent President called for lifting the US 🇺🇸 & EU 🇪🇺 sanctions on Syria 🇸🇾 to facilitate earthquake relief efforts. At least 1,602 people have been killed & thousands injured in Syria from the disaster so far. 🔹Syrian 🇸🇾 FM F. Mekdad warned that the US sanctions have worsened the circumstances as sanctions have prevented the delivery of everything to the country. Syria had appealed to the UN 🇺🇳, Red Cross & NGO's over the issue. 🔹It is evident that countries not adhering to US sanctions are the only ones helping Syria after the earthquakes. Russia🇷🇺, & Iran 🇮🇷 arrived on the ground in Syria the same day of the earthquakes to help in relief efforts. From China 🇨🇳, 220 tons of wheat are on their way to Syria, & 3,000 tons of rice and wheat will be sent soon. India 🇮🇳 sent sent 6 tonnes of relief materials and more support is on it's way.

I wouldn't choose your slimey disgusting side of the fence or your chosen companions in this life for anything.

Birds of a feather. This is who you support. This is who you are. You are not fit to wipe the boots of Russian soldiers who are right now digging through rubble and going without sleep, along with their dogs, trying to save lives.

West’s refusal to provide aid to quake-ravaged Syria inhumane, says Russian diplomat

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. The refusal by the collective West to provide aid to Syria in dealing with the aftermath of the devastating earthquake is inhumane, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Friday.

“In the current circumstances, the illegal unilateral sanctions introduced against Syria remain effective and this, to put it mildly, hinders the process of dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake and providing aid to Syrians by other countries and NGOs,” she noted. “This directly leads not only to human suffering but also loss of life, and given the scale of the tragedy that occurred in Syria, such behavior by Western countries contradicts the norms of human morality and cannot be excused. This is simply inhumane logic,” the diplomat stressed.

She noted that “the collective West ignored the fact that the earthquake, with its epicenter in Turkey, resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and the terrible destruction of Syria itself.” “This is not just a manifestation of the politicized approach which the West is guided by in the process of providing humanitarian assistance to those affected in that country. This is something monstrous,” the diplomat stated.

It’s shameful isn’t it? It must be retribution to Turkey for trying to make peace between Russia and Ukraine. As for Syria, we’re still steeling their oil.

Yes we are. I have a soft spot for Syria. Always wanted to go there. Have a book and have been learning the language.

An ancient Christian faith and great food.

Assad has asked us to leave for a long time. But there we are, illegally occupying their land and stealing from them.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. The Russians soldiers are world renowned for their personification of kindness. What has America ever done for the world? Right?

Some western countries finally sent help to Turkey a few days after the quake.

People buried under rubble don’t have that time.

We used to be the good guys in the world. I miss those days.

Now I see Sri Oakland starving, and who is feeding them?
China and Iran.

I know. They are the bad guys, we are told. But sometimes I wonder...
