You really don’t understand how easy it is for them to tank a case do you? Look up the Brailsford case. Look up the Diallo case. Look up Rodney King. If they decide these guys get off THEY WILL GET OFF.
The single most important question a society must ask is Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Who watches the watchmen? Police are the enforcement arm of a system you and I both know cannot be trusted. And we do NOT hold them to a higher standard. And we do NOT prosecute them. And we DO literally let them get away with murder. This is NO different. More slam dunk cases than this have walked. Because America fails to watch their watchmen.
They just reported that, based on video, the basis for the initial traffic stop was lie. That officer is white.

The cops involved in this thing are going to prison. Some for longer than others. And then, after the state of Tennessee gets done with them, the Fed’s will go after them for civil rights violations.

Look I hope you’re right. I really do. But there are decades of established history that say when we look away, which we inevitably will because that’s how the news cycle works, this couple spiked.
I don’t hate cops. But I know better than to trust them. The very job itself should not be trusted. Like I said: who watches the watchmen. The very act of creating a police force establishes an hostile relationship with you citizens. And you have to rigorously police your police force. And must NEVER trust them. Because their job is too dangerous to your society. There’s a reason that question has been around for 2000 years, it matters. And all I’m doing is asking it. And you branding asking a legitimate question as hate is turning yourself into a wise monkey, you are refusing to see, hear, or acknowledge evil. You should put a bumper sticker on your car: willing victim.
Like I told someone else, look up the crap surrounding the Memphis Chief. She should have went federal prison.

The cops that beat up Rodney King. Got off on the state charges. Why? Not because it was a coverup. It was because there was much more to that video than the public ever saw. He was on PCP and throwing the cops over the cars.
What got them sent to prison was what they did after, the messages they sent each other on their MDTs
No the cops that beat up King got off because they changed the venue to an area with lots of white people who lived there to get away from folks like King. They shopped for a sympathetic jury and got one.
And of course there’s Brailsford. And Diallo. And so many others we hear about. And who knows how many that don’t manage to make national news. Until they’re actually convicted and sentenced I make no assumptions. Because the legal process is long, and seems to be longer for high profile cases, there are so many opportunities for things to just “go away”.
To me it’s all simple logic. If you don’t trust the government, remember the police are part of the government, the part they give a gun and aim at you no less. We sit here on this board and complain about what a crap job the FBI did with the Hunter Biden thing and so much else, and then assume a different, lower profile, section of the same government will properly handle the Memphis cops?! Not me. When I recognized that I should trust the government my distrust went to the WHOLE enchilada, every department, of every layer, of every jurisdiction.

The cops in LA went to prison on federal charges. They were convicted of civil rights abuses.
As I said before. The next time you bed a cop don’t call one. Tell your municipality you don’t want the cops anywhere near you and you don’t want to pay for them anymore

And again I point out to you that if you don’t trust the government but you do trust the cops you are a wise monkey. If you’re smart enough to not trust the government then GO ALL THE WAY.

I was in law enforcement. I can call out all the bad sh*t I see on tv and on Youtube all day long.
You hate and don’t trust the government. Fine. I don’t care. Just make sure to let any cop that you might have to deal with, in the future know that, up front. When your home is broken into, you’re the victim of a crime or you need any type of report, let them know that you don’t trust them and that you hate them. Pretty simple.
Or, if you don’t already, become one of those “law enforcement auditors” and wait for them to come up to you and harass you. Sue and win some money.
