However Starlink was being used, Ukraine’s military was benefitting from it. SpaceX doesn’t consider that a humanitarian use which was its deal for providing the service. The timing isn’t great if it was being used to control Ukrainian surveillance drones given what Russia is reported to be preparing for.

There are 3000+ Starlink satellites in service giving global service, and they are EMP shielded. And Musk can refresh at least 60 units immediately at any time. It would take a massive series of orbital nukes to take out a significant number.
It’s very unlikely anyone can nuke enough Starlinks to matter without causing massive EMP damage to the ground below and all sorts of other civilian systems operating globally. An attack on low earth orbit Starlink would be indistinguishable from a decapitation strike via EMP.
That would be an outright nuclear war.
