Many of the “gentrified” areas of DC are still only a few blocks away from extremely dangerous “native” locations.
Sorry as a Washington Native that dog of yours isn’t hunting. I dare you to burp hard on Capitol Hill these days, if you don’t look like you live or belong there, you are going to find yourself in a World of Hurt. They have pushed all the homeless and crazies off the Hill too.
