Plus New York was the largest loser of population to other states in 2022.

Florida gained the most. NY lost the most. I wonder why?

The long game here must be:

(a) Adams and his constituency want the immigrants to keep coming

(b) Adams expects Uncle Sam (meaning the rest of us) to eventually pay the bill

(c) Adams isn’t concerned about the crime rate, cleanliness and economic health of his city.

is this a game of mexican sweat?

do they feel the pressure yet?

I guess as long as brandon keeps sending money into NYC adams will continue to commandeer the hotels to put the migrants up?

Every day and night there's more madness showered on our country by the Left.

(and did y'all catch that the hotel where the homeless would be lodged is owned by a Chinese developer???)

They’ll tell us that hotel occupancy is at record high levels...

“… owned by Chinese developer Jubao Xie, which is saddled with debts that include $11 million in interest on loans.”

“…an estimated $10.5 billion through May 1, 2024.“

That’s more than enough to pay off the loan, and still have plenty left over, even after giving the Big Guy 10%.

NYC is a growing massive contradiction in “disparity”. Crime is up, the “refugees” are visible everywhere, and not in “good ways”, where native-citizen homelessness increases as well, while legal and street-illegal marijuana sales can be see all over the city, yet massive investment in highrise office and apartment towers is among the most I have seen in decades.

As a for instance. Take the lower east side area.

On the north side of east 14th street, and running from 1st avenue to the east river and up to 23rd street, you have the apartment complex known as Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village. It is a community in itself, with parks and playgrounds, very well cared for grounds and buildings - 110 buildings, 12 floors each. The tenants are very middle class and upper middle class in a very family friendly environment. If you acauired your apartment in a lease beginning decades ago under “rent stabilization” laws/rules at the time, you could be paying under $2,000/month for a large two bedroom place. But those folks eventually die and if you managed to get on of those places know as it is vacated and gpes for market rates, you could be paying $5,000/month.

But just cross 14th street to its south side, and walk into the neighborhood below 14th, from 1st ave to the river, and day or nite you find open marijuana sales on the streets, dozens of “smoke shops” with at least one on every block, homelessness, “refugees” and a once gentrifying area looking worse all the time.

Many parts of Manhattan are the same way - a tale of two cities.

Gee, wouldn’t it be cheaper to send them back home?

It goes without saying that any Manhattan hotel turned over to these Third World wetbacks will need hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars of fumigation once the wetbacks leave heading to Canada. And I’ll bet that the owners of those hotels won’t be properly compensated...if they’re compensated at all.

No one’s talking about the next shoe to drop and the riots among the Mariel boat lift people bear this out: these thousands and thousands of illegals being warehouses in various cities: one day in the not too distant future, one group is going to decide they’re not going to be warehoused any more, and they’re going to riot. They’ll demand that they be just set loose in the general population. It will spread like wildfire from city to city. The woke city governments would have the guts or the desire to put down the riots. Coming soon to a city near you

OK, let’s once again do a little math. Let’s say that Adams got the price down to $150/day—$450/month—$54,000/year for each ‘single woman/adult family’. Just a tad more than my mom drew on Social Security after 70 years of ‘contributions’.

Wonder if meals and ‘walking around’ money are included?

Rooms won’t be habitable again unless thoroughly sanitized.

Don’t they have fields with tents for them?

I was in a diner and these foreigners were paying with vouchers and ordering fancy food I didn’t know the diner made. You see them at Costco etc. also with vouchers.

I guess that is part of the reason for the inflation, printing money to pay for vouchers.

Surprising that they don’t try to force Trump into providing lodging for the restless illegals in Trump Towers. BTW, do they still have the BLACK LIVES MATTER street mural right outside of Trump Towers or did that stunt run its course?

That place will be trashed/destroyed by the criminal, illegal alien filth, and no one with a functioning brain will ever stay there again — body lice, bedbugs etc.
