If they evacuate the civilians, then all hell will be unleashed. I think the Russians are just grinding away and if you stay, you'll see everything and everyone around you blow up..... artillery is the king of the battlefield. I feel sorry for the Ukes being egged on by NATO, Biden and the rest of the media.
The people of Moldova and Poland are looking around and getting a little nervous.

Some people are poor and feel they have nowhere to go. Some are pro-Russian Quislings and want to stay. Some are old and would rather die than leave. Etc.

I've read some accounts from aid volunteers and seen some of their videos in regards to Bakhmut. They've been trying all along to talk remaining civilians into evacuating, but many of them refuse. Many of them including old people and children had horrible, rotting wounds from Russian shelling while living outdoors, but they still refused. Only a small portion of the civilian population remains there. The town is destroyed.
