Looking at how the vote went in 2010, it seems pro- Russian Yanukovych had eastern Ukraine. Whoever thought drawing political lines around this diverse ethnic population was realistic if the governing regime in Kiev was absolutely increasingly devoted to eliminating - absolutely hating - ethnic and cultural diversity as an enemy threat to a “ pure” Ukrainian nation.
