I definitely want more proof than Laura loomer for goodness sakes. She ran in the primary in my blood red district. She lost. I suppose she’ll chose another district in 2024. She bounces around districts hoping to get chosen.
Agree...and part of me thinks that’s the plan.
He sure did.
As did Gaetz (FL), Barletta (PA), King (IA) and many other immigration hawks.
Gaetz explains why:
"Not only did this legislation provide a pathway to citizenship for millions who are in our country illegally, it allows them to sponsor their family members—many of whom were responsible for illegally bringing them into the country in the first place. This is unfair to the millions of people waiting in line and following the proper legal procedures for green cards and, eventually, citizenship. Though I admired the emphasis on border security found in the Border Security and Immigration Reform Act of 2018, the fact remains that this bill did little to address the causes of our broken immigration system: it does not require the implementation of E-Verify, does not end chain-migration, and does nothing to address the crisis of dangerous and lawless ‘sanctuary cities.’"Gaetz official statement on why he voted NO on HR 6136 quote:
Get your facts straight, AuntB.
When it came time to vote for Trump's wall, and not this lousy amnesty bill, DeSantis came through.
I fear you are correct.
This is how the Dims win. :-(
Better catch, thanks.
Still, I think we should come up with our own worthy candidate instead of either of the two served to us on a silver platter.
Not that I know of.
No DeSantis is the one tearing the MAGA movement apart, and on purpose, because that is the role they told him he must play for their support of him in 2024.
This is satire? Semi-satire, at best.
At least Trump does his own attacking. He doesn’t pay others to do it for him so he can look like a choirboy.
His attacking sure ain’t purty, but it is upfront. He has always been that way.
This just shows, more than anything, how consultant driven DeSantis is. He needs to pay people to give him a sense of humor. Trump is rough around the edges, but he’s authentic. A perfect example is Trump’s mainstay, the rally. He gets up there and speaks for over an hour, largely unscripted. Why have we never seen that kind of thing from politicians in the past? Because their consultants would never have let them do it. And most politicians wouldn’t want to do so anyway. They’d rather have a pre-written focus group tested speech that somebody else wrote, because they’re uncomfortable speaking honestly and from the heart.
