Girkin is a hardliner. Those who wish for regime change in Russia thinking a Jeffersonian type will replace Putin ought to be careful what they wish for. It’s the Girkins looking to move into power. Which also explains why Girkin says such things.
Like getting rid of the Kaiser, and thinking that the Germans will never bother us again.
“Vladimir Putin could disappear at any moment, sending Moscow into a civil conflict “
That is what I fear. There is a dream in the West that if Putin goes he gets replaced by a liberty loving peacenik.
The reality is Russia under Putin is like Yugoslavia under Tito. Huge internal tensions held down by brutal repression.
Remove that repression and things get very ugly very quickly.
I know you like to fight on these threads against the pro-Ukraine people, but I do you notice what Strelkov is actually saying?
He is saying that Putin should call for a full mobilization and replace Shoigu with himself, and fight harder.
That hardly looks like he hates Putin or treat him like a democrat does Trump (Orange Putin bad).
I hope for his sake that he is offering these opinions from his Malibu beach house.
dennisw bringing the lib news article!! 🔥
I think the countdown to the general mysteriously falling off a high building has begun.
Putin: “Well done Comrade Girkin. You have those westerners chaing their tail again. They leap like demented rabbits at anything they want to hear.”
Do you ever get tired of being wrong every single time?
There are no Jeffersonian types in power in Russia. It is an illusion that the gullible eat up foolishly.
Nalvany is the one who should be running Russia.
Strelnikov’s grandson, obviously.
Strelkov (Girkin) is a strange figure but long been on the outs with Moscow. He was reportedly quite heroic and inspiring during the initial days of the struggle in Donbass, but he is a vocal, long term opponent of Putin and of the operations in the Ukraine- like many of the far right nationalists he is a bit of a doomer as well. He was briefly permitted to rejoin the operations for about a month before he was expelled. Most recently, he has gotten in a dispute with criticism of Prighozin and Wagner but declined their offer to witness operations first hand. I would not read too much into his bitter ramblings.
Good analogy. We learned that lesson and handled Germany differently after WWII. Somehow forgot that lesson after the fall of the USSR. It’s possible Putin would never have come to power had we acted sensibly back in the 1990s. Now look.
We have been supremely foolish. Much to the advantage of the Chinese and our own detriment.
Well, you don’t don’t get to pick who rules Russia. Wishes, horses.

Yikes! How did that happen??? My sincere apologies for the repeat posts everyone!
Why do you send us to MSM for stories instead of to the actual article?
