Monday, the New York Times published a damning report about how Vice President Kamala Harris has struggled to define her historic tenure as the nation's second in command.
Of all the similar reports that have come out since Harris first assumed the role in 2021, Monday's New York Times article is the bleakest. The authors of the piece — who say they spoke to "dozens of Democrats in the White House, on Capitol Hill and around the nation" — walked away from their reporting with this conclusion: Many believe Harris has not risen to the challenge of establishing herself as the future leader of the party.
The most troubling takeaway came when the authors asked Harris' staff for sources who could speak to her accomplishments.
The authors also perfectly describe what's at stake for Democrats if Harris can't turn her public image around. President Joe Biden will almost certainly run again; if he wins, he would be entering his second term at 82 years old. Biden's age will surely be on voters' minds if Harris returns in 2024 as his running mate.
Normally, these stories about Harris come and go without much comment from her office. However, a staffer in Harris' office took to Twitter Monday to trash the piece, a sign that this one may have touched a nerve.

Biden should have seized the opportunity to appoint her to the Supreme Court.
The way she speaks and acts, I’d bet she is stoned half the time.
I’d call that “mistake” a huge win for the country. And who knows, she may not really want to be in government. Could she possibly be so dumb that she doesn’t realize that she’s in over her head? If I knew I screwed up all the time, I’d want out.
“She made a huge career mistake, she could have held on as a senator from CA for the next 40 years, but now she’ll be irrelevant after this 1 term vice-presidency.”
That was Obama’s condition in exchange for endorsing Biden. Biden had to commit to choosing Harris as his running mate in exchange for Obama’s 2020 endorsement.

Dammit. I hope Joe has an episode that makes him unable to continue so Kamala gets her shot. I’m surprised it hasn’t happened yet. The democrats have completely soured on her so that they are willing to keep sleepy Joe. I think if Joe falls down some stairs while Jill is away at the Super Bowl it might be her best chance. She should write out his resignation and have him sign it read it on television. He would do whatever she asks because he always does what he is being asked to do.

I wonder if Kamala had to go through the same thing, if she might not improve. I hate to think she could watch herself and think to herself “I am really doing Great!”
It SOUNDS like something she’d say. But did she actually SAY it? If so, that will be put in a time capsule for future generations to marvel at.

It's easy to describe Kamalamadingdong's tenure - "Lying, murdering traitor."
It wouldn’t take much, although her press flack would take
