I do not believe God will do any smiting for a country playing pure politics.

If God was in the business of smiting a Country for refusing admission to a defense pack, God would have leveled the USA, Canada, the UK, and France/Germany and Rome before dropping to political reasons.

God cares about the soul and the morals, not politics.

God always warns and warns before he hands us over to our own way.......what we see in our country, how upside down and perverted so much is ...just God “Giving us over” to the sinfulness desired which eventually moves to a “depraved and reprobate’ thinking, an inability to view life rightly.
