I can understand people in terrible pain ending up addicted to painkillers but don’t understand using drugs for “fun”.
The overdose problem isn’t with prescription opiods, inspite of the media attempts to blame doctors and ‘big pharma’. The vast majority of people dying of opiod overdoses are addicts buying fentanyl and other narcotics from drug dealers.
It’s a shame that the Gov’t is persecuting doctors who are prescribing opiods to patients in severe pain, and making those patients suffer because addicts are overdosing on illegal drugs, or drugs obtained illegally.
