No, it couldn’t. Nobody cares what the news or the govt says when it comes to money. People rate the economy in one way, how they themselves are doing, period. They look in their wallets and at their bank accounts, at their pay, or their profits. People saying the economy is better are simply saying THEY are doing better, that’s all.
