How many countries have shot down a satellite? One. Who? Us. When? About 40 years ago.

Since you addressed the comment to me, I will offer this:

The US Navy intercepted and destroyed a malfunctioning spy satellite with a SM-3, in 2008.

AFAIK that is the only one for the US.

Russia and China have respectively destroyed orbiting satellites as well.
