Rebuild/overhaul maybe 400/year.
The process of making functional their enormous stocks of rusty ex-Soviet stuff, in other words.

Actually, Russia is making in tho region of 250 tanks per year, on top of the massive 3300 operational tank they had back in Feb 2022 when they fist invaded Ukraine.
Russia has always bean a tank power going back to WW2.
Ukraine will lose this war.

The numbers were recently published in a pro-western paper. I will find it…. But Russia can build 250 new tanks a year (T-94s) and refurbishes 650 a year (T72s) by fitting them with new optics, fire control and armor.

But artillery plus drones makes tanks obsolete and that’s where the Ukrainians (and we) lose the battle.

Not sure if we actually make any now. The plant in Lima OH is mostly for repairs now.
