A10, lot of this spending was under trump. Not many congressmen said no. Masse was perhaps one of the few, and he was attacked by trump and other Republicans. Nor do I recall politicians even asking if it was even constitutional to do the stimulus in various degrees.
"A10, lot of this spending was under trump."
As I mentioned in previous post, Trump was misled by federal crooks imo.
"Nor do I recall politicians even asking if it was even constitutional to do the stimulus in various degrees."
If this were a better world, a bunch of state and federal politicians and bureaucrats who have taken oath to protect and defend Constitution would minimally be booted out of office under Section 3 of the Constitution for open rebellion to the federal government's constitutionally limited powers imo.
"14th Amendment, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof [emphases added]. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."
