If nothing else, this incident will probably instigate internal treaties regarding where space ends and a nation’s controlled airspace ‘legally’ begins.

Because at present, we (and various other countries) tolerate our adversaries’ satellites flying over our territory and scooping up intel. As long as it’s in space, satellites freely collect, and no nation pitches a fit (yet) or seriously threatens to shoot down the satellite (yet).

they they rowled up when you “linger and loiter”. but know when satellites pass by.
