Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during talks with French President Emmanuel Macron that his country is ready to transfer “military funds”to Ukraine.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Times of Israel, the Censor informs.No.
As the newspaper notes, an official familiar with the details of the conversation told about such plans of Israel to help Ukraine.
The publication adds that Netanyahu, in a conversation with Macron, assured of Israel’s intention “not to go too far” so as not to provoke Russia.
The Office of the Israeli prime minister declined to comment on this information.
“I explained to him our policy (regarding military assistance to Ukraine - Ed.). He is well aware of this issue,” Netanyahu said at a briefing after a conversation with Macron.
The Times of Israel also notes that during the talks, politicians touched upon the topic of possible mediation by Israel. Netanyahu said that he will not insist on such a role unless he is asked to do so by Russia, Ukraine and the United States.
