Nikki Haley, Tim Scott and more to blitz Iowa, S. Carolina in 2024 ‘preseason’

Former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley plans to launch her presidential campaign in less than two weeks with an event in Charleston, S.C. Sen. Tim Scott will kick off a “listening tour” a day later — from the same city — before following Haley to Iowa. Former vice president Mike Pence will be in Charleston next week.

And Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will start traveling the country after the Feb. 28 release of his memoir, headlining back-to-back GOP dinners in Houston and Dallas where “platinum sponsors” who chip in $50,000 will get photos and tickets to a VIP reception.

DeSantis is only 44 years old. He needs to stay out of it in 2024.

I also agree that Ron DeSantis needs to distance himself from the neo-cons.

Deep State doesn’t care what Americans want.

“DeSantis — who has dodged questions about 2024 but is privately taking steps to prepare…”

I would, too…not knowing what the future might bring with regard to possible PDJT health or legal issues, for example.

This doesn’t concern me at all.

I’m telling you how it works. Tim Scott and Nikki Haley both have no chance, so they aren’t running to win. They are running to increase their esteem in the party for future parties, because they may be needed for support by somebody and, if they do well in the primaries, they can trade political favours.

Comment #2: I did not realize that all Indians raise their hand like that when they say “How”.

Not being able to win an election does not mean much during the primaries. Nikki Haley, for example, is going to have solid support from some of the delegates. She can offer her delegates to bump somebody up once she has been primaried out.

For example, Tim Scott may ask Nikki for her delegates. Nikki will bargain for simething in return. If Tim Scott fails in the primaries, but wins his seat and gets on a committee, maybe he will get Nikki to be the head of some department in exchange for her giving him her delegates during the primaries.

It is the political equivalent to the game of pool. If you can’t take a shot to sink a ball, you take a shot to prevent somebody else from being able to take a shot when it is their turn. Nikki’s delegates could allow Tim Scott to advance another round than he could otherwise, but it could end the running for somebody else that Nikki or Scott did not want to win.

They are both filling time-honored GOPe roles: token black and female candidates to populate the GOP primary debate stage. I’m sure they are being sufficiently remunerated for playing their parts.

NIKKI HALEY IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT-—VP—OR HOLD ANY OFFICE THAT SUCCEED TO PRESIDENT..

SHE is NOT A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

Parents were NOT citizens when she was born.

Keep ignoring the NBC clause in the Constitution & soon every ANCHOR BABY born here will be running for President.
