The Biden team must have sanctioned China’s balloon flying over the US says a former RAF and commercial airline pilot who flew in and out of the US.
A former Royal Air Force pilot who flew Harrier jets and then flew hundreds of flights in and out of the US as a commercial pilot shared some breaking information with TGP.
The former RAF pilot shared the following:
At an absolute minimum, an object flying over the United States, a plane or balloon, has to file a flight plan.
In addition, at the absolute minimum, the object (plane or balloon) must have a transponder so that other flying objects know where it is and don’t crash into it.
Because of these two items, the FAA had to know that the China balloon spotted flying over the US was coming.
If the FAA did not know this then it is illegal and as President Trump recommends, it should be removed from US airspace immediately.
The balloon also can legally only fly in certain areas. It needs to be above the commercial airline space of approximately 50,000 feet.
There are lots of areas or zones in the US where a flying object cannot fly. Flying is prohibited over these areas.
This chart shows the definition of US airspace. The balloon must have a transponder, registration with NOTAM and filing a flight plan.

If it was a research balloon, then fine, China could have said it will be flying over US airspace.
Yet.... It would have had to cross a thousand miles of either the Pacific or across Alaska and Canada. OR....
It was launched from a sub from the ocean. There is no way this thing was floating in the polar jet stream for days without anyone knowing.
As many posited here already, it was sent to drop suitcases full of cash to Chomo Joe.

As for it being a contrail, as an airline pilot I’ve seen tens of thousands of them and I know how they look when upper level winds and temperatures vary.
As I see it the problem with a bioweapon (living ones at least) UV light would kill it before it could do any damage.
And besides. The Chinese released a bioweapon using commercial air travel with Kung Flu. Why bother with a balloon?
It is the Biden cash delivery balloon force. They aren’t exactly learning anything new with a balloon that the Chinese don’t already know from satellite. This is just probing our weakness and response. And likely, I believe, launched from Chinese submarines. No way these showed up floating all the way from China undetected. (Assuming anything we are told is true)
We will never find out. Not as long as The Swamp Rats are running things.
Maybe the balloon is carrying boxes-full of Joe’s classified papers. If Joe orders it shot down, the papers would spread out over tens of miles. LOL!

Balloons are often used to sample the air over or downwind of nuclear weapons sites to check for telltale isotopes.
