Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called on President Joe Biden to shoot down a suspected Chinese spy balloon "immediately," while suggesting that former President Donald Trump would have already done so.
In a tweet late Thursday, Greene wrote: "Biden should shoot down the Chinese spy balloon immediately.
"President Trump would have never tolerated this. President Trump would have never tolerated many things happening to America."
On Thursday evening it was reported that the US military was tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon, first spotted over Montana, which it believes with "very high confidence" to be of Chinese origin.

Agree but would rather hear it from someone not so annoying.
If it was Russian, it would have never made it in the air closer than 10 miles to US soil.

Biden answers to the Chinese. They are among his masters.
This seems like a no-brainer. Don’t continue to let the ballon fly. Don’t shoot it down.

I thought the excuse give for not shooting it down was that it might fall on populated areas was a hoot. The area where it is floating is some of the most unpopulated in the country. Consider for a minute if that balloon was carrying a small non nuclear EMP device or a new more deadly version of the Wuhan flu. Half the country could be wiped out
Did anyone think that it should have been shot down over the Aleutian Islands? Or are we still using SCR-270 Pearl Harbor Radar?
I’m still trying to get my thoughts around the idea of sending something as unpredictable and difficult to control as a balloon for surveillance. Surely the use of satellites is a much more precise and stealthy way to gather intelligence. Sending an unmanned balloon seems overtly provocative, but maybe that is the point. China is demonstrating to the world that they can send intelligence platforms based on 300 year old technology brazenly over our airspace without the slightest fear of retaliation.
It may have some sort of guidance system on it. I tend to agree with the posters who say capture it rather than shoot it down. Don’t know how they can do that, but maybe there is a way. Punch a small hole in it and let it leak down ?...lol..

Trump would not have shot it down. If Trump were president, it wouldn’t have even bin there.
Trump is calling for it to be shot down. Should have happened when the thing hit the Aleutian islands.
