Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is set to deliver the Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday, Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Thursday.
McConnell and McCarthy in their statement lauded Sanders, who will give her remarks from Little Rock as the nation’s youngest governor and a champion of conservative principles.

I respectfully disagree. If the GOP is to have any chance in the future, they must develop their bench, and Sarah is one of the big hopes for the GOP future.
I'm surprised, not really, that the Hill isn't also inserting her sex and celebrating this. She's a good choice.

ok, no problem. but, using your logic, then DeSantis is head and shoulders more qualified to do it than Sanders.
Sanders just became governor, whereas DeSantis is pretty well-known already.
