There's a huge difference between providing cover and being an actual agent/operative.
Again, I'm not defending him. I think he's a loudmouth, self-serving baggart (Woodward, I mean). I'm sure he wants people to think he's some James Bond super action man.
I just want Free Republic to be accurate and not spread rumors and made-up stuff the Left can use to show we're dumb.
Posters correcting other posters was a keen part of our early years, with requests for citation and calling out innuendo and lies seen through almost every thread. We certainly hauled the reporters over it when they didn't do diligence on their stories. I don't want to see us drift into the world of "modern journalism", where they lie to promote the narrative.
