Rivera, along with Solages and Vincent, face charges including conspiring to commit murder or kidnapping outside the U.S. and providing material support and resources resulting in death, the U.S. Justice Department said.

Sanon is charged with conspiring to smuggle goods from the U.S. and providing unlawful export information. Court documents state that he allegedly shipped 20 ballistic vests to Haiti, but that the items shipped were described as "medical X-ray vests and school supplies."

The men are scheduled to appear in federal court Wednesday in Miami.

A total of seven suspects in the case are now in U.S. custody.

Why are we locking up all these people?

The attack was carried out in Haiti by paid assassins from Columbia, yet everyone arrested is being extradited to the United States.

Shouldn't they be prosecuted, convicted, and imprisoned in Haiti? Are we now the world's jail?

Federal charges for crimes committed in the USA, if I understand this correctly.

(I had the exact same reaction as you when I started reading the article.)

How sure are you that that is what really happened?

Perhaps for some but not the Columbian assassins who have never set foot in the United States. Yet they're being extradited here as well.

“ A day before the killing, Solages falsely told other suspects that it was a CIA operation and that the mission was to kill the president, according to the documents. Shortly before the killing, authorities said, Solages shouted that it was allegedly a DEA operation to ensure compliance from the president’s security detail.”

Nothing would surprise me. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.

Why?

Not for any good reasons.

Wonder if our Deep State had something to do with the hit.

If so, that would explain a lot.

Indeed, and the writer should be chastised for inserting the editorial “falsely” in the article. It isn’t for him to say on one hand, and on the other hand he has no way of knowing whether it is false or not.

Don’t worry be happy - they will be out in no time, complete with citizenship papers and loads of free stuff for the hardships they have suffered at the hands of racists.

Sammy always had political aspirations there I think he ran one time didn’t he?

I suppose his fortunes waned after baby doc died

He always paid me even though it could be a bit of a struggle I made very good money with him

It was bad enough back in those days with all the coup d’état but no why would I mess with it today
