The first few times I saw Mike Cohen as a “Trump surrogate” on the various Fox show, my thoughts were essentially, “All the lawyers in the country, and Trump hires this schmuck?!” Seriously. I love Trump but his personnel instincts kinda suck (cf. Mark Milley, Chris Wray, John Bolton, Bill Barr et al.).

So, for each of those "failures", please enlighten us as to whom he should have nominated and if you actually believe that McConnell would have allowed votes on them?

Agreed but I’ll give him credit for not hiring Romney for anything. They had a dinner together during the transition and Trump must have concluded Romney wasn’t for him.
