It’s Los Angeles, California. Nobody here is allowed to pack heat except the cops, judges, politicians, wealthy donors, and the occasional well trained security people (and them, only when working). I think Los Angeles has a total of 12 concealed carry permits. Maybe the county has a little more but not many. It’s notoriously difficult to get.
Of course, if he rolled up on the wrong car with the wrong driver in the wrong neighborhood that could be a different story.
The old sheriff did a few things right, and one of them was issuing a few more CCW’s and I’m hopeful that the Bruen decision will eventually work its way to California after a few more court cases.
That said, tactically there would be no problem using your own car to put the clown out of action, and at least one of those cases appears to be a very clear deadly force situation. Milage may vary.
Oh, and to no one’s surprise he has a long, long record, with a recent arrest for 11378 HSC (Tweak) and 242PC (simple battery). A real knucklehead.
