My recommendation for President Trump?
On day one (January 20, 2025) FIRE every last Presidential appointee from the previous regime. Every last one of them.
Start there.
The problem with Trump is that he confuses fealty for loyalty. This problem seems morally smallish compared to the outrageous sins and depredations of his opponents, but it is what made his presidency an absolute failure. His tirade about DiSantis being “disloyal” was truly disgusting. When you work together as a team, your teammates owe you continuing to work towards your common goals. They do NOT owe you subservience.
If DiSantis believes Trump is better suited for the job, then since DiSantis is not doing what is best for their common cause, you could argue DiSantis is being disloyal. But that wasn’t Trump’s complaint.
(If DiSantis steps aside out of fealty, that would be disloyal to the cause!!!)
I believe that Comey should have been hanged for what he did. But however treacherous Comey was, Trump came off like the villain to anyone who didn’t already believe in the swamp by asking Comey for his PERSONAL loyalty (read, fealty).
There’s precedence for such an action. That’s what Slick Willie did. Or did partially, he fired every US Attorneys.
This would implement a new “spoils” system.
The key to success is really to get rid of the unions. Even FDR opposed government employee unions.
It’s what the Clintons did with the DOJ.
Also have them investigated for any criminal activity i.e. kickbacks, illegal trading, racketeering, malfeasance, treason, ext...they may have engaged in.
Then fire every SES grade employee.
