It's not just white servers that won't get tipped. This phenomenon of the more "melanin-enhaced" group not tipping used to be a kind of "stereotype", but I recall many black people I worked with in the service industry making that same observation and essentially confirming it.
I recall being at a restaurant with my wife several years ago and the black patrons at a table near us were complaining to the black waitress (can I use that term?) about something very innocuous and making a big deal about leaving no tip. Really embarrassing display on their part to be honest. This same server was handling our table as well and did a good job, so I made it a point to tip about 25%.
Some of the more cynical may say I did so just to further reinforce the perception, or maybe I just felt bad for the girl getting stiffed on the tip.
I even tip my dog groomer (every 4 weeks)
Thanks . I’ve been wondering if blacks tip blacks ? Or only tend to stiff whites who provide service to them. “ Thank you’s” are nice, pleasant and often appropriate, yet often quite rare. This is not ‘stereotyping’ , but front line actual day-to-day observations.
And these less than generous fooks now expect and demand ‘reparations’?
Yea, right.
