You are correct, my good FRiend, in that DeSantis has not announced candidacy for 24 POTUS nom.
Yet, anyhoo.
My reading of the "tea leaves" (just my guess) tells me that he'll wisely wait for a while, doing great things as Florida Gov, and build a network of support, and let some other contenders announce first.
