“Didn’t scam at all. SSDI/SSI are under the SS umbrella. Let me put it this way, I got about 20x more out than I paid in.”

Your numbers are bs.

When I calculated my work history and adjusted for inflation, I am lucky if I am going to get back 50% of what I contributed to the system. (Social Security)

Medicare is a different story, but then no private insurance company is going to offer insurance to a sickly 70 year old.

The politicians come up with plenty of money when they want something. The Iraq war cost 2 Trillion and they are leading us into WW3 which may cost us everything.

Whether you like it or not, their is no political support for gutting Social Security and Medicare.

You’re right, there is no support for cutting the socialist spending at all. It’s taboo to even mention it.

This country is extremely leftwing and I laugh at those that mock Canada or Europe for being socialist. It’s as bad here as anywhere and it’s not going to change.

My numbers about my situation are not ‘BS’ btw. SS is not ‘fair’ or ‘you get what you put in’ at all. It’s a wealth redistribution ponzi scheme. But people love ponzis schemes.
