“ Rush was Right about this”
No, Rush was wrong in rooting for Paul Ryan’s crusade to cut “entitlements”. Republican voters are heavily represented among Social Security recipients. Why would they go out and vote for a party that pledges to cut Social Security - while vowing not to cut a dime from the military industrial complex? I wasn’t at all surprised that McCain and Romney/Ryan lost; they followed Rush’s advice, calling for “entitlement” cuts. Trump didn’t, and he WON
I think we are talking about different times/events. I'm referring (as I assume Rush was) to back when Ryan first came to town and we Righties all loved him. He smacked down Obama on live TV (health care summit) and he had a plan to MOVE entitlements to where they are at least Constitutional - the states.
Then as now, this was deceivingly called 'cuts'. So America-Greatening / Freedom-loving wisdom lost to falsified fear once again - as with the Trump SwampJab.
Same with the later attempts/suggestions to at least privatize SS. Always wrongly fear-mongered as 'cuts' despite the actual goal of making SS much, much better. For America and for Americans.
