“Pelosi seems unusually calm”
The guy broke in by smashing through a glass-paneled exterior. Pelosi called the cops without the guy knowing it. When the cops came I can imagine Mr. Pelosi not wanting to rile up the guy as the cops opened the door.
My only mystery is why didn’t the cops pounce when Mr. Pelosi and the guy were both holding onto the hammer, each struggling to get it.

There was a deadly weapon visible as they both struggled for it. The call was for some one with a hammer?
BIG TIME FAIL on the cops part. He never should have been given the liberty to draw it back and strike someone in front of the cops........”Oh sh!t”.
That makes sense. Pelosi might also be calm because he was not fully in charge of his faculties.
What I don’t understand is why the perp was standing there at the door, with a hammer in his hand and attacked this guy with it in full view of the police authorities. He put on a show of it!
Like, okay I’ve called the police when they get here I want you to hit me with this hammer as hard as you can! Don’t worry, we’re democrats nothing’s gonna happen to you.
