Let’s say that Americans do care about it a great deal. Let’s say that a wide majority find the current situation completely unacceptable and untenable. How can they act to fix it? Vote? Vote harder? The other side just cheats. There is no way for the majority to even make it’s wishes known in a democracy. Both major parties are just fine with the current mess. It goes on until it crashes.

Maybe the states could step up and do the Constitutional job the federal government refuses to do. Say, build their own wall? Or move shipping containers in to make an ad hoc wall?

Even the wishes of the majority doesn’t matter.

As long as Congress continues to shore itself out to the Chamber of Commerce and big business, nothing changes.

Mike Lee has been pushing for a bill to allow more H1B visa holders into thd country so the tech companies in Utah can get cheap labor.

They don’t care.

The only one that did, the only one that did anything about with zero help from Congress, was cheated out of a second term.
