Y’know, when I was a kid in the ‘90’s, I had nightmares about war just because it was on the news. I remember one in which I looked out my parents’ bedroom window and everything looked like a radiation storm from Fallout, except orange. I was probably 9 or 10.
I’ve always had vivid dreams. Cinematic dreams, too; defined characters, a plot, clear and recognizable locations. I think it’s because I write and play lots of video games. My creativity has to go somewhere.

Me too, and when I was little, I would tell my mom about them. She used to say she always thought I was smart because my dreams were always so vivid, and that I remembered them so clearly.
I don’t play video games though. When I try, I’m terrible at them. I’m good at a lot of other things though, and probably if I had grown up with video games, I might’ve been good at them.
P.S. I’ve also had my share of nightmares, but they aren’t so often any more, once I realized that I can tell myself in the middle of a nightmare that it is just a dream, and I can end it right away.
