The thing is... conservatives respect BORDERS.
That’s why we push the Biden administration to respect the Mexican/USA border, but he doesn’t do that yet. Because he thinks the unarmed invasion going on there right now is harmless. It is nevertheless a kind of invasion. And even if its done in an unarmed way, it causes low-intensity harm in the long run - one way or the other.
However, the Russian attack on sovereign Ukraine - an ALLY of America and the West - is worse, because Russia is using missiles, artillery, tanks, and is leveling towns and villages, killing people en mass every single day (mostly civilian Ukrainians and within in its own Russian military ranks). Russia is causing high-intensity harm for both Ukraine and Russia in a time-wise highly concentrated way. Its an illegal land-grabbing war launched by Russia on our ally Ukraine.
Imagine if the West had done the same... and invaded Russias ally Belarus!

Since you don’t adhere to the “respect-of-border” philosophy Russia/Ukraine, you can’t adhere to the respect of the US/Mexican border neither. No double standards can be applied here.
