China is a civil war about to erupt. They have accustomed the population to huge and sustained economic growth that has collapsed. Covid provided a excuse, but just made matters far worse. There is a political time bomb just ticking away.
Yes, the US military needs to rebuild its stocks of munitions, but what we are seeing with the warfare laboratory in Ukraine is that many of the traditional weapons systems need to be replaced not with the old weapons of the past, but with new weapons required in future wars.
We don't need more 14 inch battle ship projectiles, we need anti-drone weapons. Yes, we need bullets, some artillery shells, but we need smart low cost, accurate weapons.

Has any country ever successfully fought a war without steel, or aluminum supply resources ?
Or without adequate supplies of fuel (petroleum, gasoline, diesel, or MAP) for engines, turbines, or motors ?
Even now the administration is resisting the push to replenish the National Petroleum Reserves as being too costly and expensive ,
and yet slow joe was eager to give it away to our commercial adversary and competitor immediately prior to the mid-term elections.
This is not foolishness,.. this is sabotage !

World War 1 fixed Wilson’s wagon, and World War 2 fixed Roosevelt’s wagon. Common Americans were needed in enormous numbers for each of those wars and better respected afterwards. Without those wars, we would be treated even worse by more influential and favored constituents (spoiled rotten slavers) now.
