I have a Ruger 5.7 and ammunition has become more available at my local stores and online dealers since the introduction of the Ruger, PSA, and S&W 5.7s.
But you are right it’s likely a 9mm handgun. The guy didn’t look like a firearms aficionado.

Wasn't really surprised this was domestic. After 3 hours of trying to talk the guy down I doubt he had any intentions of doing so. At 72 yrs. old knowing what he had done probably figured prison environment was not the way he was going to leave this world.
